I have no idea why my blog lost all design. I think that I am really just blog illiterate:) Any help would be appreciated.

Have you deleted anything? Or went into your blog settings and did anything there?
who knows! the only thing I can think of is that I changed my about me section. Oh well, I'll figure it out eventually.
Hmmm...You could always try this, find the layout code from where you got your layout, copy it, then go delete your old layout code, and put the new code in that you just copied. That might work.

Well I see that you got a new layout! It looks good!
I think when you uploaded the new background it didn't keep anything you had added before. Not sure but just a guess.
